In June of each year the club participates in the ARRL’s Field Day activity. Field Day is always held the fourth full weekend in June The purpose is to contact as many other Field Day stations on the radio while operating away from normal electrical supplies and shelters. The idea is to prepare Ham Radio operators for emergency communications. Learn more about Field Day in the following link.
A very big “Thank You” to the Bright Indiana Fire Department for all their help during Field Day operations. The club sets up Field Day in the park behind Bright Station 1.
